Welcome....I'm Elaine Schmidt

I am a free-lance craft designer, product development consultant, fiber artist, educator, spokesperson and author working with companies who manufacture products for the creative arts & crafts, sewing, quilting and gift industries. 

I have extensive industry experience with fabric, sewing, embellishment products, and I have worked in all phases of product development - from concepts to prototypes to sourcing to production and promotion.  My original designs are featured in new products, books, magazine articles, project sheets, TV segments and trade show displays.  I enjoy teaching, demonstrating and thinking up new products ideas that will make sewing and crafts fun and easy to do.
